Canal Residence West is a collection of five major apartment buildings and individual villas situated along the canal-side promenade in Dubai Sports City. The project was developed by Dubai Sports City (DSC) and designed by architects Diar Consult. It was launched in 2008.
Phase one of the project has been completed and comprises Mediterranean Tower, European Tower, Venetian Tower, and Gallery Villas (50 houses).
European Tower is a 12-storey building housing 154 studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. It opened in 2013/14.
Mediterranean Tower is a 12-storey building housing 162 studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. It opened in 2013/14.
Venetian Tower is a 20-storey building housing 274 studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. It opened in June 2015.
Arabian Tower is a 13-storey building housing 192 apartments, comprising 52 studios, 90 one-bedroom, 42 two-bedroom, and 8 three-bedroom.
Spanish Tower is a 12-storey building housing 193 apartments, comprising 77 studios, 72 one-bedroom, 40 two-bedroom and 4 three-bedroom.

Facilities in each building include a swimming pool, barbecue area, children’s play area, gymnasium, sauna and a private club offering a state-of-the-art health club, beauty salons and therapeutic treatments, reading and music rooms, games room and a business centre.

Of the entire 4,645,152 m² of land area that makes up Dubai Sports City, the master developer, Dubai Sports City LLC, chose to retain and develop only two communities, the remaining plots being sold off to the private sector for medium-rise developments. The two projects it elected to develop itself are Victory Heights and Canal Residence, both of which were awarded to Diar Consult as lead consultant.
Canal Residence West is a collection of five residential apartment buildings which, as the name suggests, are arranged along a landscaped promenade overlooking a man-made canal. The five buildings contain a total of 987 apartments in a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Shared retail and recreational facilities are located on the ground and first floors.
Each of the 12 to 20 storey towers is designed in a theme reflecting the style of great canal and waterfront cities: Venice, Naples, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Dubai. The design challenge was to take the style of five geographically, climatically and culturally diverse cities and bring them together in a cohesive and coherent whole in a completely new context.
